Philippe Starck has always been a firm believer in the concept of "democratic design," or the production of quality items available at lower prices so more people can enjoy them worldwide. He identifies the "generics" of community seating with his aptly named Generic C (2016), a chair he designed specifically for gathering spaces such as bars and restaurants. Lightweight yet highly durable, it’s fitted with a high seat back and wraparound armrest for surprising comfort. Suitable for use indoors and out. Stacks up to six high. Made in Italy.
