The house is located in a residential neighborhood whose origin, at the beginning of the 60s, was isolated houses of 67m2 on one floor, structured in precast concrete panels and a gabled roof with wooden trusses. The economic boom of the sector has generated a continuous improvement of the houses, being this one of the few houses that still remained in its original version, without interventions of any kind.
The proposed remodeling considers the expansion of the house horizontally [by attaching to the edges of the east and west boundaries] and vertically with a second story of light structure. The interior spaces are worked looking for spaciousness and natural light. In the center of the house, a double-height void is configured that spatially connects the two levels, at the same time that it serves to articulate the program on the first floor and separate the rooms on the second level, achieving intimacy and privacy.

The house opens generously to the north and closes to the west, looking for a modulated thermal control also by the cross ventilation that is planned based on the differences in sunlight [hence temperature] of the different sectors of the property.
