Valleys Hearth is a truly unique dwelling that boasts a passive solar design and was constructed as a labour or love, using mostly locally sourced or recycled materials. The entire building process was carried out on site by owner builder/craftsman, from the creation of the beautifully laminated curved hardwood beams to the doors and windows, which were crafted from recycled timber.

One of the most impressive features of the house is the attached greenhouse, which ingeniously recycles grey water and harnesses its heat to warm the interior. The strategic balance of thermal mass and solar gain ensures that the temperature inside remains comfortable all year round, requiring minimal additional heating or cooling.

Escape to Valley's Hearth, a handcrafted retreat where nature and human artistry converge. Relax in the timber hot tub, rejuvenate in the unique sauna, and cook up a feast in the fully stocked kitchen. Immerse yourself in the poetic mystery and magic of this enchanting abode.
