From MATTERS OF SPACE
The house is 1,446 sq. ft. That reflects the personality of the young couple. We transformed the house keeping in mind the beautiful surroundings and the requirements by the couple in the Japandi style. We decided to keep the house minimal with the soothing lime walls, white accent patterns against beech wood flooring and oak veneer.
Designed a house by dividing into two zones:-
1. Day zone
A double heighted vaulted ceiling space, big sliders to achieve warm and inviting vibes. The vaulted ceiling In the Living and dining space Gives a grandeur vive while keeping minimal with white barns in ceiling. The house is small with less storage space. Hence the foyer has all the storage which acts as a mudroom and utility as well .We added the cane shutters storage with white grooved shutter to make it stop looking bulky.
2. Night zone- All the bedrooms and bathrooms with loft on the second floor. Keeping the Japandi style in mind the master bedroom have designed in way to make more space and airy
We have drawbacks of the vaulted ceiling and hence less headspace and wall to make space for bed. We merged the door with the wall in the white fluted panel and grey terrazzo complimenting the vibe.
