Sunnyside Ridge

The masterful renovation of this modern single-family residence purifies architecture down to its very essence. The design included a full interior remodel and a redesign of the exterior decks, patio, and landscape. The design creates a purity of form that is directly responsive to the owner’s functional needs and desire to “live outside.” The existing roof was replaced, raised a foot, and separated from the ground by a row of transom windows to accentuate the climate. European White Oak Knotless wood floors, five types of millwork, and an oak door were used to mimic the many tree species in the site beyond. Over time, the home will become more and more muted, further blending into the landscape.
