The house is conceived as a timeless and neutral artifact; It is not a reflection of a time or a technology, but rather of a kind of iconographic heritage of the Chilean countryside. The shape is simple: A weather-resistant gabled wooden shed that efficiently,
economically and lastingly meets the requirements of the project. The land is extensive, surrounded by thorns and sloping towards the lake.

The artifact is subtly placed in the territory, almost like an abandoned construction, seeking to become part of the landscape without interrupting it. The materiality and shape give it a character that evokes agricultural sheds, typical of the country context. In its immediate surroundings, on the other hand, the abstract volume defines and articulates the place, removes it from neutrality, gives it a front and a back; guides it.

Two voids are generated in the volume, incorporating air, light and spaciousness. One emptying serves as a covered terrace on the first floor, the other generates a double height in the public spaces of the house. The interior is austere, comfortable, bright and spacious. The views are abundant and the relationship with the natural context is fluid, The artifact seems precise, adequate, fair.
