The hand painted sign saying Well Fed Farm will cue you to the turn onto Christina's Way. You will then see the sweet garden shed, the fenced in organic vegetable gardens, and old apple tree (yes the children and you are welcome to come and pick vegetables for dinner!) As you drive slowly down the winding half mile path that will enfold and welcome you, we imagine you will anticipate the house and environs you have chosen for your family vacation, reunion, celebration, wedding or romantic week for two.
Built in 2008 our luxurious lakeside camp consists of a magnificent hand made adirondack style cedar shingle home and two cozy cabins. Privacy for all. We utilized local artisans from the tiles on the floors and showers to the stone we harvested while excavating, from the hand made adirondack bentwood furniture to the cabinetry. You will enter the main house onto an 1,200sq/ft screened in porch with an outdoor stone fire place, pingpong, handcrafted pine harvest table that seats fourteen. French doors afford access into every room and can be left open to feel the Maine breezes. The great room in the center of the house boasts a magnificent indoor stone fireplace, multiple couches and handcrafted game table. For the chef in you the large chef’s kitchen fully appointed with huge 60" Wolf griddle top to make loads of pancakes, a double oven for baking and it is brand new 2017! , We have just added a new 42" new Sub Zero refrigerator for all your beautiful Maine produce! An original Monson slate farm troth sink will bring smiles as you and your family or friends create meals overlooking the lake and listening to the loons. Behind the kitchen is our Herb Garden and a grassy lawn for the children to run around on. Each bedroom has it’s own private bath each decorated in a different style. Each bedroom and cabin has a private screened porch with lake views. The furniture throughout the house was handmade by local carpenters and artisans.

The Bunk House Cabin and Loft Cabin each consist of their own screened in porch, propane gas fireplace, kitchenette, sitting area, full bath and views of the lake. The Loft House Cabin has a Queen Bedroom and Loft upstairs with twin beds. The Love Bunk House Cabin has a Queen Bedroom (magnificent views of the lake) and a Bunk Bedded room with X large Bunk beds).

The property sits on 100 private wooded acres and 3,000 ft of water frontage, ripe for exploring. The lake has only five families and much of the time you will have the lake to yourself...it is rare and magical. Sunsets and breezes and quiet...The grounds boast hidden hammocks to swing on and sway in the waterfront breezes and read. There is a large outdoor stone fire grill for barbecues and picnic tables. The waterfront has a large dock, lounge chairs, 4 kayaks, a canoe, two paddle boards (new!) and a row boat/little sail boat. Perfect for swimming, boating, or fishing!

You can walk or run the 6 mile loop in the morning before jumping into the pristine water that has no motor boats and swim to your hearts content.

The property is mostly solar powered and we ask renters to be mindful of conservation.

It can comfortably sleep 14-16 (perfect for a family reunion) while promising everyone privacy and yet is also cozy enough for an individual couple’s retreat.

If you ever want to leave the camp you can be in Camden or Belfast in under 15 minutes and enjoy the natural beauty of the Maine Coast or the wonderful shops, farm market, sailing and restaurants along Route 1.

We built this camp as our family’s sanctuary, but we do like to share it on a limited basis with people who would also respect and appreciate it.

*There is a newly built exterior pizza oven for those who know how to use it, with permission can be used to make pizza or bread etc. We used wagon wheels we found on the land for this (see photos)
