The buildings charge achieve more than with their own physics; They carry, among many others, symbolic values attributable to the multiple experiences and memories lived in them; what we imagine and what we know. When it comes to a home, the intrinsic link between user and building come together in a relationship where the symbolic of experiences gains greater value and relevance in the daily use. The reform of this small house explores, among other topics, the relationship of its users with their experiences and the building, that intimate link of the significance of the material and its roots in memories. Preserving a certain state of affairs would
thus become a hidden way of persisting in hopes dashed by reality, which ultimately detract from the possibility of advancing. In this way, through architecture, an attempt is made to give a new order to the home, where the form of memory and its daily life are expressed in a subtle and less concrete way.

In this sense, the first project operation is clearing, that programmed intention to establish what is kept and what is eliminated. Thus, the original structural matrix of what exists is maintained; the double bay, and in turn, an attempt is made to recover certain materials that, when reused in the construction, keep a link with the above, such as some applications with wood from demolition or the tiles of the

old roof as a masonry that makes up the façade wall. Save this image to your favorites.
