Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood off Pioneer Trail in South Lake Tahoe, KÜLHAUS CABIN is a modern but quintessential A-frame cabin that offers a cozy space with luxurious yet understated furnishings and fixtures. We highlighted the bones of the cabin with warm and rustic finishes to give a homey, yet cosmopolitan boutique hotel experience. Our carefully selected materials and considered amenities make us one of South Lake Tahoe’s most up-to-date and comfortable accommodations.

Designed for the local as well as global citizen, KÜLHAUS CABIN was inspired by owner Keryn Francisco’s love for mid-century modern design and Tahoe’s natural surroundings. She’d become a fan of interiors, architecture the active outdoor lifestyle while working as Creative Director for global apparel brands Levi’s, Nike, Icebreaker, Lucy Activewear and The North Face. San Francisco, New York, Portland and Tahoe vibes from her life all find peace and harmony in the cabin. A passion for her craft, sustainability and creating cozy and beautiful spaces drives every decision that goes into your stay at KÜLHAUS. We actively support and donate to environmental and local community organizations.

Named after the friendly Kulow Street on which it resides, KÜLHAUS balances the natural textures and clean yet organic decorative accents of California with the minimal design and neutral tones of Northern Europe. More than a synthesis of tastes, KÜLHAUS CABIN is meant to be both a second home and an homage to the metamorphosis of globalized cities and natural environments everywhere.
