House Addition in Dufferin Grove

This project involved a 2 storey rear addition to a 1920’s home in Toronto’s west end. At the ground floor, the kitchen and dining area were combined into an expanded open area. Extensive glazing improves the amount of natural light entering the house. A large sliding glass door allows for a direct relationship to the new wooden deck and adjacent garden. The addition is partially shielded by landscaping, creating privacy at grade level. On the 2nd floor, a corner window condition is located at the master bedroom suite, providing a unique vantage point overlooking the street.
