This three bedroom rental on the 48th floor has sweeping views over Downtown Los Angeles, from the Hollywood sign to the Angeles mountains. Functioning as a party pad for clients with more traditional style this was a step in a more modern direction. Meant for entertaining, with room for the whole family to stay over after nights out, this pied-a-terre needed to be fun but comfortable. Designers Jessica Fleming and Devon McKeon of Los Angeles-based Hive LA Home kept the focus on the view. Hive brought in plenty of seating and playful lighting, and alternated between soft and rugged earthy textures while keeping the shapes modern. The results are warm, cozy and metropolitan- perfect for sipping a pre-game whiskey and taking in the skyline.
