The Bambú Kindergarten is located in the commune of Las Condes, in the foothills of Santiago de Chile. A first consideration was to resolve that the Kindergarten did not harm the neighbors and on the other hand that the children did not lose concentration from their games and studies with the neighboring buildings. The strategy was to excavate the ground taking the lowest horizontal, so that the building would remain partially underground, isolated from the neighboring buildings and open to the distant landscape, hills, mountains and sky; in addition to structuring the buildings towards the edges of the land, freeing the playground in the center, structuring a system of classrooms around interior patios that allow clearly defined spaces and that are articulated in front of the two corridors that frame the great central courtyard.
The project proposes a route through a portico made up of several clearly differentiated volumes. A cylindrical volume, one square, others refer to the rectangle, to the diagonal, so that being in the central patio, these bodies appear and the magnitude of the large and the small of the near and the distant also appear.

As in all our works, we opted for a tone, for a material in order to unify everything. Beams and columns of laminated pine and walls of famous pine boards. The geometry of the volumes is composed of basic shapes, easily recognizable by children (cubes, triangles, squares and light cylinders).
