An admirer of the rustic-modernist homes by midcentury architect Norman Jaffe, architect and builder Ross Smith emphasized the home’s simple shape by making it eve-less, but added drama with steeply sloped roofs. The facade has a jauntiness to it thanks to the mismatched wood bump-out, which allows interior space for a wood-burning stove.
