This Airy Home on Stilts Is One South American Family’s Beach Retreat for All Seasons

Architect Martin Gomez designed his family’s beach home in José Ignacio, Uruguay, for all seasons. In the winter, its orientation and glazing maximize light, while the concrete construction and smaller-sized rooms help with heat retention. In the summer, floor-to-ceiling windows open up the interiors to adjacent patios, a walkway, and a pool.
