The interior incorporates earthy materials like salvaged teak. “You can see the landscape on either side of you,” says Hoppenot. “The rich teak walls disappear into the height of the space, and diluted natural light floods down from the skylights and in through the windows.”

The primary facade uses wood slats to create a privacy screen between the street and the private world of the house. Frosted glass was also used strategically in this bathroom to allow light in but create privacy as well.

The front driveway leads down to a courtyard and the home's main entrance. Floor-to-ceiling windows and doors allow for views directly through the home.

The home’s rear facade features large windows and doors overlooking the sloping, waterfront lot. A multi-leveled deck provides several areas for entertaining guests and enjoying sunset views.
